Figuring out why you want a business for yourself is one the most critical, if not the most critical piece to your network marketing puzzle. You hear it said all of the time in trainings and on conference calls, but how many of you have taken the time to figure out truly to the core, why you are in business for yourself.
Many people join a business to make more money, to leave a legacy, maybe to get off their job and work strictly for themselves. These are all great to begin with, but to achieve success long term, you must dig a little deeper.
Keep asking yourself why "x" is important to you.
- Lets say that you want to make more money.
- Well, why is making more money important to you?
- I would like to pay off my debt
- why is that important to you?
- I would like to not have the stress of the money.
- Why is that important to you?
- I'm just sick and tired of everyday feeling the pressure of paycheck to paycheck.
- Why is that important to you?
- I saw my mother stressed out day to day because of money and it eventually took her life at a young age. I don't want that to happen to me. I want to be around for my kids, to see them grow up, to graduate, and to start a family of their own. Building my business, and providing the ability to take the stress off and have more money at the end of the month would allow me to live longer and enjoy my grand children.
You see how much more powerful that is than just saying that you want to make more money.
You have to dig deep, and tug those heart strings. This is your life that we are talking about. Its OK to dig deep and really find out what it is that you what. If it makes your cry, perfect, that isyour reason why. Hold tightly to that reason.
This reason will take you through the tough and lean times of your business. This reason will push you forward when you feel overwhelmed and you feel there is no where else to go. This reason will get you up early and make you stay up late building your business.
This reason is the rocket fuel you need to succeed.
Have you developed your why?
If you haven't then I suggest that you isolate yourself or you and your partner have a sit down and really discuss your reasons that you are in business. I promise that it will make a huge impact in your daily effort and results.
